At Avon, CT Eagle Rivet took part in the roof restoration of the Avon Old Farms Ice Rink. The Ice Rink had decided to go green with sustainable materials and alternative energy. So that meant in addition to re-roofing Eagle Rivet was also contracted to install a large number of solar panels on the roof. Eagle Rivet covered the new roof with Carlisle Eco-Star synthetic slate, and then installed a 205 kilowatt solar array, which was comprised of 672 individual panels. We performed all of the eletrical work and also determined which side of the roof the array should be placed in order to maximize sun exposure.
