Rebuilding Together Hartford is an organization that brings local volunteers to help elderly Hartford residents with chores and general home upkeep. Around 50 volunteers in 4 Hartford neighborhoods did yard work and fix-ups for residents such as 81-year-old Leomie White, whose diabetes gets in the way of her ability to completely manage her house and yard.
Eagle Rivet’s own Art Dias participated in the event with his children. He was quoted by Fox CT as saying, “The kids nowadays spend too much time with the Xbox. I want to get them out and show them helping people makes you feel good, and these are the people were trying to help.”
